The air-cooled configuration helps maintain proper beer temperature by circulating cold air around the beverage lines.

The 1689 features Micro Matic's Spin Stop design to help prevent the faucets from rotating and potentially kinking the beer lines. It includes two 5-foot lengths of 3/16-inch beverage tubing with tailpieces and provides a 9-1/4-inch faucet height. Tap handles are sold separately. The tower is NSF certified and made in the USA.
